Paula

Roy
 
Paula and Roy opened the Island Escape Bed and Breakfast  in the summer of 1993 after Roy retired from the Air Force and Paula retired from the Department of the Air Force. Two years after retiring, Roy was hired by the the City of Tacoma as a firefighter. Paula is now the innkeeper while Roy is helping keep Tacoma safe.

Paula is from Everett, Washington. She completed her Doctorate in Higher Education and worked for Tacoma Community College and the Department of the Air Force. 

Roy is from New York City and has completed his BS in Meteorology and an MS in Aerospace Management. He spent 26 years in the Air Force as a C-141/C-135 pilot and an administrator in the Air Force ROTC program.   Roy retired in 1992 as a Colonel.

Paula is currently very active in local, state, and national B&B organizations while Roy is busy staying in shape for firefighter competitions.   He is the current world record holder for the 50+ age division.
